DAILY SKINCARE ROUTINE

My daily skincare routine typically stays the same because once I’ve found a good skincare product, I like to try it for at least three months. I struggle with melasma, which is dark and light pigmentation of the skin caused by heat and sun. My skin is combination, but leans more towards the oily side. You’d think applying this many products would make my skin more oily, but once you train your skin you’ll be surprised. Also, one thing I implemented last year was only washing my face at night. It’s been a game changer in helping manage the oil control on my face!

I wanted to share the exact products I’m using right now for my AM and PM skincare routines. A few of my favorite brands have always been Sisley Paris, La Mer, SkinBetter, and Skin Medica. Recently, I discovered Hydrinity and Medik8 which both have incredible products and decent prices.

AM SKINCARE ROUTINE

STEP 1: Farmacy Brighten Up Toner

As I mentioned, I only wash my face once per day and that is usually at night. So, each morning I rinse my face and then start with the Farmacy Brighten Up Toner because it’s great for dark spots.

STEP 2: Medik8 Vitamin C

Vitamin C and Vitamin A are two products I’ve been told I should always use. I typically use Vitamin C in the winter and Vitamin A in the summer. Currently I’m using the Medik8 C-Tetra Luxe which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and dark spots plus enhances skin radiance and antioxidant protection alongside deep nourishment.

STEP 3: Medik8 Peptides

I started using peptides about a year ago because I was told I absolutely MUST use them… Now, I feel like all I hear about is peptides. The biggest thing these Medik8 Liquid Peptides do is help with firmness and plumpness.

STEP 4: Hydrinity Hyaluronic Acid + SkinPharm High Beam Brightening Lotion

My friend is a rep for Hydrinity so she introduced me to the brand last summer. Their hyaluronic acid serum is truly one of the best on the market. You won’t find it just anywhere, but mostly in med spas or dermatology offices. If you have dry skin, then I highly recommend using this product! Truly, anyone will benefit from the moisture you get in this bottle.

STEP 5: BeautyBio Blendrops

My SPF booster! These BeautyBio Blendrops are one of the first products I’ve ever seen that uses Tranexamic acid. Why do I love these so much? Because Tranexamic acid is one of the biggest things that helps with melasma! I mix these with the moisturizers below, giving me SPF 40. Also, the bronzing drops are amazing to use with your moisturizer on days when you don’t feel like wearing makeup because they give you the perfect sun kissed glow.

STEP 6: Sisley Paris All Day All Year OR La Mer Moisturizer

My holy grail… Yes, I’m going to tell you upfront, Sisley Paris All Day All Year is the most expensive product ever. BUT… It’s 100% worth it! It blocks 90% of UVA and UVB rays for 8 hours!! Basically, if you aren’t good at reapplying sunscreen or have melasma like me then you absolutely need this product. I swear it’s the reason my melasma did not get worse this summer.

In addition to having anti-UVA/UVB shield, it also protects against oxidative stress along with improving fine lines and wrinkles.

Mexico is never a bad idea in my book… I try to book at least one Mexico trip per year, and I just recently got back from Myakoba. Where is that? It’s a tiny area between Playa Del Carmen and Riviera Maya. It’s a hidden gem if you ask me… A few of my other favorite Mexico spots are Punta Mita and Cabo. Last year, I had the most incredible visit to Four Seasons Tamarindo which I must say is the most epic Mexico vacation ever.

No matter where I’m going in Mexico, my wardrobe usually looks the same: black swimsuit + flowy dresses + a cute skirt or shorts combo. Typically, I’m not one to wear a lot of color (surprise surprise) but I did have a Mexico wedding recently so a pretty bright colored mini dress was the perfect choice.

2. Colorado Bend State Park
This park is located in Texas, mostly in San Saba County and is home to Gorman Falls.
There are a lot of activities to do here- fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking, biking etc.
The 3-mile hike to Gorman Falls is moderate, with a steep, slippery drop near the end. The
rest of the trail is easy, stretching through a flat, desert-like terrain.
Due to the delicate ecosystem around the falls, you should see the majestic waterfall from
afar. Even so, it’s a breathtaking sight, one you wouldn’t expect to find in the heart of the hill
country.

3. Krause Spring
The Krause Spring is located in Spicewood, Texas, and is great for camping and swimming.
Its open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. You won’t have to book any reservations, however, the park
does get to capacity quickly, especially during the weekends.
Krause Springs is a stunning natural paradise. It features a lovely butterfly garden, at least
32 springs that flow into a manmade pool, and a natural pool with a waterfall. The manmade
