Strong. Independent. Entrepreneur. WOMAN. I consider myself to be all of these things. Any woman can be all of these things. However, as a woman I know no matter how strong I think I may be I can’t prevent all things bad from happening. For example, heart disease. It’s the number one killer of all women. This is why I’m so honored to be working with Go Red for Women in Dallas. Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women. So what exactly does Go Red stand for?

Get Your Numbers: Ask your doctor to check your blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose.

Own Your Lifestyle: Stop smoking, lose weight, be physically active and eat healthy.

Raise Your Voice: Advocate for more women-related research and education.

Educate Your Family: Make healthy food choices for you & your family. Teach your kids the importance of staying active.

Donate: Show your support with a donation of time or money.

Another way to support is by participating in the Go Red for Women Luncheon auction. This year, you do not have to be in attendance at the luncheon to bid on an auction item. Anyone can participate through mobile biding! I’ve teamed up with Go Red for Women to show you a few of the amazing auction items up for grabs like this gorgeous Judith Leiber rose clutch and Elaine Turner gold purse (can you tell I love purses?!).  There are so many other incredible items like vacation packages, spa days, and more. Here is how to participate in mobile biding.

Even if you can’t participate in the auction you can participate by showing your support on National Wear Red Day which is February 6th. Plus…with Valentine’s Day the following weekend I think it’s a great excuse to buy a new red dress! Here are some of my favorite red dresses:
