Tis the season for sequins! Okay, I know sequins can be a little intimidating for some people which is why today I wanted to share 3 ways to wear sequins for any occasion this holiday season. I actually wore these sequin pants a couple of years ago… I wasn’t sure I was going to like them as much as I do because I’m more of a blazer person, but I love them both so much!

So you can easily wear the sequin pants and chic black one-shoulder top to balance out the sparkle. The pants would be fun to wear to an evening holiday party, Las Vegas, or out with the gals! This look is also perfect for a Christmas-themed end-of-year office party, this look is both chic and brings that festive spirit, without doing too much. But you make a statement! These pants are actually incredibly comfortable! They have a stretch waistband which is key during the holidays if you catch my drift.

I decided to wear a simple black bralette under the blazer, but if you want a little more coverage (or warmth…lol) then you could do a simple black camisole.

If it’s up to me, I’d always spend NYE at home. It’s one of those holidays that I have a “love-hate relationship” with. This year, I’m heading to Nashville with some girlfriends, but don’t be fooled. We are planning a very low-key night grabbing dinner and then potentially ringing in the new year from our hotel room!

If there is one place I could do basically all of my holiday shopping it’s Academy Sports + Outdoors! Cooper totally agrees too. We just got this dog bed for the new puppy (coming February 2021!) and he thinks this giant thing is alllll for him. It’s actually pretty cute because he looks even smaller than he is when he is sleeping on it. Hopefully, he and the new pup will cuddle on it together like Cooper and Jaxson used to do.

I have four people in my family I’ve gotta do some holiday shopping for: my mom, dad, brother and sister-in-law. My dad and brother are probably the easiest to shop for at Academy since they are both obsessed with the store. I was thinking about giving my dad this mini Theragun and some more Yeti cups because you can never have too many Yeti’s. Next up, I thought my brother would like this whiskey glass to use when he makes his old fashioned’s. Since he has a “game room” I thought the Drink-o-rama board would also be fun.

Now when it comes to my mom and sister-in-law it’s a little bit more difficult to shop for them but I got it covered this year. My mom always uses a big tumbler so I was thinking she would like this red large tumbler. Also, I thought these duck boots would be good for her to use when we are staying at our land in Oklahoma.

Speaking of shoes… I know my sister-in-law would probably love a new pair of Nike shoes! Why not throw a pair of leggings and a cute sweatshirt like this white Nike sweatshirt in the mix too?!

Now…what am I keeping for myself, haha? Definitely wanted these boxing gloves so I can change up my workout routine come January. I’ll probably buy the sweatshirt and leggings for myself too! It’s hard to resist cute new workout gear.

My friends and I have started a holiday pajama and cookie decorating party which is one of my favorite nights of the year! I can’t wait to wear these new plaid pajamas to the party next week. Pajama parties really are the best kind of parties… What wouldn’t you like about them??

Another one of my favorite things to do during Christmas is watching Christmas movies in pajamas and eating all the yummy holiday treats. I think I bought every single Christmas treat at Trader Joe’s the other day… yeah it happened. Their “jingle jangle” is my absolute favorite thing EVER.

My family has never done the matching Christmas pajamas, but it’s for sure going to be a thing once I have a family of my own. It’s kinda corny, but I love it. Even though they don’t participate in wearing fun holiday pajamas I still wear them on Christmas morning!

I seriously can’t believe we are at the end of 2018! I feel like every year goes by faster and faster. But, don’t we all? Since New Year’s Eve is just around the corner let’s talk about how to ring in the new year. I’m going to a black tie party so I need a long dress so I can shine bright and say hello to 2019 in style!

When I was in high school and college I always used to shop at BCBGMaxazria for any type of formal dress. Over the years, I haven’t had a ton of formal events so I kinda forgot how many amazing dresses you can find at BCBGMaxazria. Not going to lie… Finding a dress to wear for NYE in Dallas with a chance of someone else wearing the same dress is hard. I mean there will be about 1500 people at this NYE party so I wanted to find a dress that stands out. When I found this BCBGMaxazria pleated metallic dress it was the perfect choice. The black, gold, and silver pattern are the perfect NYE combo!

I might belt this dress to give my body a bit more shape. Also, I’m thinking about wearing my hair in a top knot since the neckline is high. I feel like when you wear your hair up with a dress like this it draws peoples attention all the way up the dress. You can keep the accessories minimal with this dress since it shines on it’s own, but I’ll probably wear a pair of statement earrings to pull it all together!

Hello handsome… I don’t know who pulled off this photo shoot better? These two kinda had way too much fun at The Adolphus for our New Year’s Eve “Fashionably FIIT” post, haha! I must say I think I dressed them pretty darn good. I won’t play favorites because I really like both outfits for NYE!

When I told them we were working with Mizzen + Main again for our second “Fashionably FIIT” post they were thrilled. Mainly because they wanted more shirts… I can’t tell you ladies how amazing these shirts are for your guy! He will never want to wear another dress shirt again. Seriously! So today we wanted to talk about how to style the basic white dress shirt two ways for the holiday season.

They wanted to take this fireplace picture SO bad y’all! I mean they do look dapper… For those of you who haven’t seen our “Fashionably FIIT” posts before meet Ben and Spencer. Once again, no I’m not dating either of them But they do keep me in line with my finances and fitness motivation.

Depending on your holiday event schedule we decided to show you how to style two looks with the basic white dress shirt. Ben is going to the Beats and Bubbly NYE party which is black tie so we chose the Stockton white shirt because it’s most popular for weddings or with a tux. Even though Ben is going to a black tie event we do live in Texas so we decided on the cowboy boots with the feather bow tie for a country chic look.

Spencer is definitely the more casual out of the two guys so we choose the Manhattan white shirt. It’s more of a relaxed fit that feels like you’re wearing gym clothes. It’s also better for the open collar which I prefer on guys. I dunno I’m just not a tie fan… Spencer will probably be doing something more low key for New Year’s Eve, but still wants to look good so we chose a velvet blazer to wear with the white dress shirt. I’m 100% on board with the velvet trend for both male and female! The detail on this jacket is amazing but not too much which makes for the perfect sport chic look.

I haven’t got a clue what I’m doing for New Year’s Eve but I’ve got two outfit options already! This metallic jumpsuit literally feels like you’re wearing pajamas. I mean I’m kinda leaning towards wearing it regardless of what I end up doing… But, this sequin dress is GORGEOUS!! I just may not be able to eat between Christmas and New Year’s Eve… And definitely need a spray tan.

Tis the Season! It’s officially the season of giving and spending time with the people you love. There are so many events and get-together’s on my calendar already. My favorite thing to do this time of year is go out with friends to my favorite Christmas spots. There are so many cute places that are decorated in festive holiday decor. I almost can’t squeeze them all in but believe me I try. Luckily, I have enough friends who are foodies like me and love the holidays so it’s not that hard to convince someone to go out with me! We both love shopping at Banana Republic because they have styles that can be worn to a corporate job like hers or business casual items for me! She could wear this pretty black shift dress to work and I would totally wear it out to an event. We both loved this metallic silver top because it’s perfect for the holiday season with black jeans for a more casual style or you could wear it with a metallic midi skirt for a holiday work party!

Hello Black Friday! Let’s be real though… So many Black Friday SALES started wayyyyyyy early this year. However, I think that’s how they lure you in and get you to spend a little bit more money.
